A Grand Eggstravaganza – the Fabergé Egg hunt’s final days

Just under two months ago over 200 extraordinary uniquely crafted designer eggs hit London following in the footsteps of the Elephant Parade that came to London in 2010. After standing loud and proud (and sometimes not so loud) the eggs are now up for bidding to raise funds for two wonderful charities; Elephant Family and Action for Children. I really got into the hunt and it was a truly original, interactive and certainly a very bright ‘eggsperience’ for me!   (more…)

More eggsquisit discoveries – the Fabergé Egg hunt (Round 3)

Following rounds one and two of my Big Egg Hunt, I kicked off round three yesterday in one of London’s most significant arts and entertainment districts, Southbank. After furiously ‘hunting’ around, I moved onto 19 hectares (47 acres) of an almost unbroken stretch of open land, Green Park. My last stop on yesterday’s hunt, before I literally collapsed of exhaustion, was St. James’s Park, the oldest of the Royal Parks of London. Here’s how it all happened…    (more…)

Another eggstatic adventure – the Fabergé Egg hunt (Round 2)

Yesterday morning armed with my camera and maps I set out again for the second round of my Big Egg Hunt in London. Last week I went around the City hunting eggs and this week I decided to hit the buzzling areas of Carnaby Street, Covent Garden and Trafalgar Square. A rainy day turned into a sunny day and people were out in their masses ! Along the way I met a number of other ‘egg hunters’ and so the epic adventure began…     (more…)
