BT Artbox bow out gracefully

In my third and final instalment of finding the extraordinary BT Artboxes around London, I set out to the banks of the River Thames and found only a handful boxes. It’s a shame I didn’t have more time to find all of them but I once again, thoroughly enjoyed finding them just like with the Faberge Big Egg Hunt a few months ago. Earlier this week the auction for these wonderful boxes ended and hopefully they have raised a glorious amount for ChildLine. Check out my photos below. Olympic Torch Relay in Shoreditch

After starting its tour in May and making its way through the rest of the UK, the Olympic Torch finally arrived in London in spectacular fashion on Friday morning. The torch was delivered by the Royal Navy’s Commando Helicopter Force (CHF) and it was a Royal Marine officer that abseiled from the helicopter into the grounds of the Tower of London who delivered the flame on London soil. The flame’s arrival marks the 63rd day of its UK tour and the first of its 7-day tour of the capital before it will finally arrive at its final destination, at the Olympic Stadium is at the heart of the Olympic Park in Stratford. Lucky for me, on Saturday the torch made its way to the area where I live in London and I was there to capture the moment.  

Shoreditch Festival 2012

Last Saturday the Shoreditch Festival 2012 kicked off so we got ourselves ready, armed with umbrellas (because the heavens literally opened up and stayed open for most of the day) and of course my camera to capture some of the action at the Hoxton Street Party. Due to the awful weather there was not a lot of people but we still managed to see a street band made up from festival goers with drums and other music instruments and popped into an interesting art gallery before we decided we had enough of being wet, so went on to have lunch with friends at a really lovely little pub on the way home.
