The Queen celebrates 60 years as Monarch this year making her only the second Monarch in British history to celebrate a Diamond Jubilee. During the first week of June the entire United Kingdom together with the Commonwealth will celebrate this momentous milestone with a series of activities. In preparation of that street decorations and themes of the Jubilee Celebrations are starting to pop up everywhere. Check out my photos to see what I found so far! Closer to the Diamond Jubilee celebrations I will write some more about it but in the meantime, have a look at the official Diamond Jubilee website for more info.

Loved your shots, Well taken! =)
Thank you very much!
I have a fe wmore posts like this coming soon as we’re approaching the Diamond Jubilee.
You going to any Olympic events, Ged?
I’m afraid not. The tickets sold out within minutes on the day it was released. To be honest, I know two people who will attend events and these events are not on the main site so I think it was all about luck when people bought the tickets. I would’ve absolutely loved to attend at least one event but that won’t happen unfortunately. I will most definitely keep an eye on it on the telly.
I am really looking forward to the atmosphere and experience!
Some people were saying tonight how surprised there were so many royalists now that we got the Jubilee. I don´t know. I just guess they are noisier now.
Perhaps yes but I think the atmosphere and excitement of the Diamond Jubilee has got everyone talking, not just the royalists. I am loving it!
Do you think? In that case, the Jubilee events would have been a real success so far. Great atmosphere today, lots of people enjoying themselves under the rain. So, I will have to blog about it soon!
I look forward to it!
Fantastic shots! Made me feel close to home even though I’m stuck on the other side of the world
Thank you! It was amazing experience!
